US Bank - Multi-product Cash Offer Tracker
The task: Design the interface to track a US Bank offer for higher interest rates by opening new accounts and maintaining balances with targeted deposits.
US Bank wanted to offer an incentive to US Bank customers who only had a Checking or Savings account to also sign up for a companion Checking or Savings account they did not already have. The incentive was a higher interest rate and a cash bonus once a set of requirements were complete.
The set of requirements are:
- Open an account that they don’t already have such as a checking or savings
- Enroll in the U.S. Bank Mobile App or online banking within 90 days
- Minimum of 2 direct deposits within 90 days totaling a minimum amount
- Minimum of 20 debit card transactions within 90 days or minimum total account balance for a savings accountt
- The account must be open and have a positive balance for X amount of days
The challenge: The problem is to design a system that clearly helps the user track their progress through the qualifying milestones toward completion of the US Bank promotion.
A system of descriptions for milestones and a color coded visual was designed. The interface and landing page needed to be evergreen until the final completion of the promotion for continuous reference. It also had to be responsive ready for mobile, tablet and desktop.
The interface must be able to handle a checking only path of qualification, a savings only path of qualification, or both a savings and checking path of qualification.
